POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead our production team. This role involves directly supervising manufacturing employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, and performance management. Key responsibilities include assigning and directing production tasks while ensuring adherence to standard operating and quality procedures, evaluating employee performance, and providing constructive feedback. The supervisor will also assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment, oversee the timely completion of production assignments, and assess production efficiency to recommend improvements for quality and efficiency. Additionally, the supervisor will enforce safety standards and maintain a clean work environment, promoting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process value. The ideal candidate will possess strong production and manufacturing skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster a production-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to set up manufacturing and process lines to meet product specifications and production goals.
  • Plan and establish production targets, schedules, assignments, and sequences to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure clear communication of production priorities and goals within the manufacturing team.
  • Coordinate with staff across the plant to maintain equipment functionality and operational flow across all areas of supervision.
  • Report issues and observations to the manufacturing and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Review work orders, specifications, and instructions to determine necessary materials and adjustments for manufacturing and packaging.
  • Initiate shutdowns and isolate products that do not meet quality standards, notifying management promptly.
  • Oversee the movement of materials and finished products using appropriate handling equipment.
  • Adapt to changing work assignments and scheduling as needed.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with supervisory experience.

· Proficient in using ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and machinery.

· Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve production issues effectively.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying information clearly and teaching others.

· Experience in maintaining production quality and understanding quality assurance processes.

· Familiarity with Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

· Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments.

· Strong understanding of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting.

· Experience in maintaining accurate production and work records.
