Job summary
Responsible for maintaining the safety, quality, cost, work order completion and improvement of the assigned work centers on multiple shifts.
Directly responsible for supervising production operators (regular and temporary) , production leads and raw material coordinator across multiple shifts.
Essential job functions
Maintain safe work environment. Ensure a safe workplace by making sure Personal Protective Equipment is worn, work instructions are followed and proper paperwork is completed in a timely manner in case of an accident. Perform and maintain an up-to-date HSO (Hazard Sign Off) Audits on all employees in assigned area across multiple shifts.
Maintain quality of CDI products & processes to assure that components and finished goods meet drawings, specifications and work instructions. Quality of work reflects a quality standard and work is done correctly the first time.
Train employees (regular and temporary) on correct and safe operation of setups, changeovers, production run equipment and making of products by training according to the work instructions and any other documentation. Insure also that each employee has signed the training documentation for the operation that they are trained in across multiple shifts.
Schedule and direct factory personnel in order to improve department run rates and company gross profit across multiple shifts.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned work cells and personal work area in order to maintain high quality, efficient work place.
Complete employee performance reviews on time to provide all employees with timely information regarding their performance.
Demonstrate ability to supervise a variety of employees to provide all employees with a professional and productive working atmosphere across multiple shifts.
Fully participates in the employee selection process such as interviews as well as disciplinary process to maintain high employee performance and effectiveness.
Work in other buildings or areas as assigned in order to help achieve company goals and objectives.
Approve and verify operators hours worked in a timely manner so that payroll may be processed.

Minimum requirements
Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing environment
Minimum of 4 years supervisory or management experience preferably in a culturally diverse work environment
Up to date First Aid/ CPR
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Kanban
Computer Experience—Word, Excel and other Office applications, MRP
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with ESL employees
Must have excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks, functions and priorities
Strong mechanical, organization and communication skills
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
People Management Responsibilities
Be able to supervise 5 to 75 employees depending on the season. These titles include Leads, Team Captains, Production Specialist 4, Production Specialist 3, Production Specialist 2, Production Specialist 1, Machine Operators 1, Machine Operator 2, Machine Operator 3, Raw Material Coordinator and Seasonal/Temporary
Signatory Authority
This person has the authorization to correct and approve Employee Hours for payroll, Hazard Sign Offs, Incident reports, work instructions, Temporary Invoices, Corrective Action, Performance Reviews. This person may sign off on Expense and Maintenance purchases based on the Plant Managers approval.
Physical requirements
The person in this position will spend a large portion of working time in the manufacturing environment which could include high levels of noise and temperature.
It is possible that the person in this position will need to run shop equipment and production machinery and thus will need to accept the inherit difficulties of doing so. Those are but are not limited to repetitive motion, standing for a shift and lifting and moving heavy objects.
