Job Title: Production Supervisor (Hilliard)

Accountability: This position reports to the Production Manager (OH)
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Supervise daily operations within the various production teams to ensure performance within safety, quality, production efficiency, delivery and cost effectiveness through Havis’s Operational Model of Excellence. The Production department consists of the following teams: Equalizers, SMT/PCB, HVDC, Inverters/Chargers, Sensors/Flashers and Warehouse.
- Enforce all workplace safety standards, OSHA compliance, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct safety audits, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions as needed.
- Implement and maintain Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (such as Kaizen & 5S) to optimize workflows and reduce the various forms of waste. Drive the SQCDMM (Safety – Quality – Cost – Delivery – Manpower – Machine) process to meet and exceed all goals and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and ISO quality & environmental standards.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, train, and develop a team of leads and operators, fostering Havis’s culture and our values. Work together with Human resources to create a high-performing onboarding program for new employees.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and implement training programs to upskill employees and improve team effectiveness.
- Oversee workforce/capacity planning, including shift scheduling, cross-training to enhance flexibility, and overtime management to meet demand forecasts and fluctuations.
Process Improvement & Quality Control
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing teams to improve assembly processes, tooling, and overall performance.
- Partner with Planning and Purchasing teams to ensure raw materials and supplies are available when required to meet all schedule requirements on time. Support cycle counts and supply audits when required.
- Collaborate with Engineering within our new production introduction process to ensure seamless production ramp-up.
- Lead various quality initiatives for the Production department and work through all Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) activities until closure.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree as well as technical certification considered a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years in assembly or production management with 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Experience in low-to-medium volume, high-mix assembly environments (e.g., electronics, computing solutions, or industrial equipment).
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and production scheduling tools.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency along with polished verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with robotic assembly, automation and Lean manufacturing are considered a plus.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing or sitting.
