Responsibilities:

  • Manage production resources for a high volume manufacturing operation. Direct job assignments and provide leadership to the production staff. Evaluate and provide timely feedback on employee performance. Understand and communicate production KPIs to production staff.

  • Motivate and develop a cohesive production team. Accountable for inspiring, training, and developing the team to achieve optimum safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.

  • Maintain production and attendance records. Understand schedules and priorities.

  • Maintain high level of order fulfillment, good quality, and operate in safe conditions.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, reduce costs, and provide a safe work environment.

  • Make timely decisions to maintain production output and quickly analyze situations and provide direction to production staff.

  • Shift Supervision coverage for other departments on same schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work 12-Hour night shift.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant production position. Lean Manufacturing (or similar process) skills required, with proven ability to lead and drive this type of program in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must have held prior lead/supervisor/manager roles and posses strong leadership skills with ability to coach employees and manage employee conflicts.

  • Knowledge of injection molding strongly preferred (understanding and ability to correct minor process issues, evaluate machine mechanical conditions, and restart a machine after a stoppage); basic technical understanding of the components and operation of injection molds such as ejector pins, vents, etc.

  • ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
