JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor provides daily leadership by overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring timely production, adherence to quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze job orders, production capabilities, and estimated process times to determine the daily production schedule. Collaborate with the Scheduling Department to align on daily work assignments. 
• Lead the daily department stand up meetings to communicate the schedule, set goals, and motivate the team. 
• Drive weekly output goals by monitoring schedule attainment, billable hours, on-time delivery, and operational performance adjusting the schedule and managing manpower as needed (e.g., Operation 1000 and Operation 4000). 
• Track and report on company performance metrics, including minimum billable hours, on-time delivery, schedule attainment and monthly and quarterly sales. 
• Ensure all team members are properly trained and up to date on company policies, procedures and operational standards. 
• Manage cross-training initiatives to create a flexible and versatile workforce.  
• Coach team members by providing real-time feedback and support to drive continuous performance improvement.  
• Partner with the Quality Department to identify and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. 
• Conduct audits and inspections to maintain adherence to internal and external quality standards. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing operations management, or related field and at least one year of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience: 

• Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, and performance tracking. 
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Proficient in interpreting job orders and using production planning tools or ERP systems. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
