Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Afternoon shift team at our facility located in Romulus, MI. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, with 5 - 8 years manufacturing supervisory experience, with fimiliarity in plastic extrusion or injection molding and machine operations. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading a team of production workers to success.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory leadership for the midnight shift - schedule, delegate, and monitor work performed by production employees.
• Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through conflict resolution.
• Supervise and train production personnel in the set up and safe use of all production equipment, or assign to a qualified trainer in the department.
• Ensure the lean organization and flow of the production department and production work cells utilizing time studies and 5S principles.
• Monitor and improve product quality on the production floor.
• Ensure proper work instructions are being followed and accurate set up of both old and new production projects are occurring.
• Troubleshoot and assist production personnel in the Conventional Extrusion Process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards
• Plastic extrusion experience a plus
• Quality inspection experience
