Job Overview:

This role will be based at our Opelousas facility located at 2624 Powers Street, Opelousas, LA 70570, with a starting annual salary of $75,000.

Job Description:

The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates all shift-level production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely manufacturing of molded products. This role oversees Noble’s Opelousas molding facility that operates 24/7. The supervisor directs machine operators, enforces quality standards, ensures machines are set up and operated correctly, and drives adherence to production schedules, safety policies, and company procedures. The Supervisor also supports plant organization, documentation accuracy, and cross-department coordination across Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain. Reports to the Production Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage performance of the production team.

  • Execute and support production schedules to meet delivery priorities.

  • Ensure quality standards are met and support automation processes.

  • Manage production-related expenses and promote cost control.

  • Ensure accurate use of ERP systems (IQMS) for production tracking and reporting.

  • Support and drive alignment with overall company goals and initiatives.

Production Control & Scheduling

  • Execute and meet the production schedule, adjusting manpower and resources as needed.

  • Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, downtime, and shift performance, ensuring schedule adherence.

  • Coordinate with the Technicians, Maintenance, and Planning to minimize interruptions and equipment delays.

Machine & Process Oversight

  • Ensure operators correctly set up and run molding machines according to process documentation, job setup instructions, and approved work instructions.

  • Enforce documented startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Partner with Process Technicians and Engineering to support process optimization and automation.

Quality & Compliance

  • Enforce quality inspection requirements and ensure QC documentation is completed properly on shift.

  • Audit operator performance on in-process checks, visual inspections, material handling, and paperwork accuracy.

  • Support rework, containment, and corrective action processes in partnership with Quality Control.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Maintain a safe work environment, enforcing company policies, PPE usage, and safety procedures like Lockout/Tagout.

  • Lead and enforce company standards and housekeeping expectations.

  • Report and maintain incident logs, near-misses, and safety findings.

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead and manage machine operators, including training, coaching, and performance feedback.

  • Conduct shift huddles, assign work, reinforce standards, and resolve personnel issues.

  • Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and engagement.

Production Reporting & ERP Use

  • Accurately enter production, scrap, downtime, and labor data into ERP (IQMS or equivalent).

  • Maintain traceability of materials, lot codes, labels, inventory moves, and work order status.

  • Use ERP data to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making.

III. Job Specific Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards and rework processes

  • Technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing setting

  • 3+ years’ experience in management

  • Inventory experience preferred

  • Quality control experience preferred

IV.Qualifications:

  • Per requirements in our ITAR-regulated government contract, this position is restricted to U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees, and refugees) due to the need to access controlled technology. Noble will not apply or manage the required export license.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Must sign a confidentiality/non-compete agreement

  • Strong computer software skills (MS Excel/Word/Outlook)

  • Experience with ERP systems preferred

  • Must be capable of standing/walking for entire shift

  • Must be English fluent in reading and writing

  • Must be capable of lifting to 55 lbs.

  • Must be visual and auditory capable in industrial setting
