Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift (Bilingual)
Location: Niles, IL
Schedule: 2nd Shift | 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 (with flexibility for the right candidate)
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, bilingual Production Supervisor to lead operations within a fast-paced fulfillment and production environment. This role is critical in overseeing daily floor activities, driving performance, and helping scale operations significantly over the coming months.
This is a high-impact opportunity to build and develop a team from the ground up, with the potential to oversee a large workforce as production ramps up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily production and fulfillment operations on the floor
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure production goals are met
- Manage and develop a team of general labor employees (packaging, palletizing, material handling)
- Conduct regular floor walks to identify and resolve operational issues in real time
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMP, and quality requirements
- Train, coach, and mentor employees; address performance and resolve conflicts
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S practices
- Monitor and track production data, labor, and efficiency using Excel and internal systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support production targets and operational goals
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
You’ll spend the majority of your time on the production floor leading a team, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. This includes directing workflows, troubleshooting issues, supporting employees, and maintaining quality standards. You’ll also handle reporting, track metrics, and help implement process improvements as the operation scales from a smaller team to a significantly larger workforce.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (tables, formulas, data tracking)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and resolve conflict
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience in packaging, printing, food, or fulfillment environments
- ERP system experience
- Background in high-growth or scaling operations
