Acculon Energy is seeking a hands-on and highly motivated Production Supervisor to support the launch and daily operation of the company’s advanced battery module manufacturing and battery pack assembly facility in Mason, Ohio. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day production operations, supervising hourly manufacturing personnel, coordinating cross-functional support activities, and helping establish a high-performance manufacturing culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment and bring strong leadership, operational discipline, and hands-on problem-solving capabilities to the production floor.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations for assigned production areas and/or shifts
Provide direction, coaching, and support to production operators and manufacturing technicians
Promote accountability, teamwork, communication, and operational discipline across the production floor
Support employee onboarding, training, and performance development activities
Ensure manufacturing operations comply with safety, quality, and production standards
Support adherence to standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures
Monitor production output, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and operational performance metrics
Escalate and coordinate resolution of production, quality, or equipment-related issues
Coordinate daily activities with maintenance, quality, warehouse/logistics, engineering, and production planning teams
Support material flow and line readiness to maintain production continuity
Assist with implementation of process improvements and operational changes
Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Help establish manufacturing workflows, operational standards, and production processes
Support operational scaling activities as manufacturing volumes increase
Contribute to building a positive, high-performance manufacturing culture
Skills & Qualifications
3–7 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
Experience leading hourly production personnel in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety procedures, and quality systems
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple operational activities simultaneously
Strong communication, coaching, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in fast-paced production environments
Hands-on leadership style with willingness to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives preferred
Automotive, battery, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other high-volume production experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and operational discipline
Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, operations, quality, logistics, and maintenance teams
