**Job Summary

**

The Production Supervisor will be part of the manufacturing team in support of the Director of Operations and Production Manager. Manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring workflow; and acting as a quality inspector, safety coordinator, material handler, and trainer for the area of responsibility.

**Key Responsibilities

**

• Complete the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results on shift production summaries.

• Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

• Maintain staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.

• Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, and facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points.

• Spend approximately 50% of the time in direct labor in the area of responsibility.

• Identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.

• Act as the quality inspector for the area of responsibility, maintaining quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

• Ensure all direct and indirect materials are readily available for the production team to work efficiently.

• Provide manufacturing information by compiling and analyzing production performance records and data.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments and contribute to the team effort as needed.

**Education & Experience Requirements

**

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.

• 3+ years of supervisory experience.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and generate results through others.

• Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level.

• Demonstrated commitment to quality and to safety.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Strong customer orientation.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Basic computer skills with an understanding of Microsoft products.

**Physical Demands & Work Environment

**

Manufacturing plant environment. Supervisor spends roughly half the shift in direct labor on the floor. Three shifts open — 1st (7:00am–3:30pm), 2nd (3:00pm–11:30pm), and 3rd (11:00pm–7:30am).

**Compensation & Benefits

**
