Position Type + Hours

This is a permanent full-time, non-exempt position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday. The shift is 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am, 40 hours per week. Saturday hours are at times necessary based on equipment and business needs. 


Job Description

The Production Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and oversees the production process in its entirety, including department leads and their direct reports. The overall role is to ensure production is getting quality orders sent out on time in a safe, productive, and efficient way. To accomplish that consistently the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience.

  • Manage fast-paced, daily production throughout flex tooling department
  • Partner with customer service team/manager to review intake levels and review production levels; adjust planning and communicate to remain proactive
  • Prioritize daily production’s urgent dies, workflow state, and other goals established by the Operations Manager; follow up as necessary to validate results
  • Analyze and respond to data by sharing themes with partners and teams; take corrective action when necessary
  • Problem solve when production timelines are not being met and direct/delegate as necessary
  • Pass along necessary and vital information between shift leadership
  • Provide performance feedback to production employees on a regular basis; contribute feedback towards employees’ annual reviews
  • Assess efficiency practices and plan for future impact and implement improvements
  • Provide and oversee that training is on track and support continued training that delivers desired results
  • Support a safety culture that is in line with keeping all employees safe

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within similar management/supervisory role in a manufacturing environment that has shown ability to deliver/exceed on tasks/goals
