Job Description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for leading hourly production teams, driving daily operational performance, and supporting safety, quality, and delivery initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring prior supervisory experience, strong decision-making abilities, and the flexibility to support all shifts as needed.

Job Duties

• Supervise and support 30–40 hourly employees in a high-volume production environment
• Maintain staffing levels by managing attendance, call-offs, and shift assignments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, WCM, Kaizen, or related methodologies
• Monitor daily production targets related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery
• Coach and develop team members to improve performance and accountability
• Collaborate with cross-functional operations and plant support teams
• Enforce workplace policies and work rules consistently
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and disruptions

Skills & Experience

Required

• Proven experience supervising or managing employees in an operations or production environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with problem-solving and operational decision-making
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and overtime as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience managing staffing levels and shift coverage

Desired

• Manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment
• Experience working in a unionized workforce setting
• Prior leadership experience overseeing production crews or shift teams
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, WCM, Kaizen, SIS, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience supporting safety and quality initiatives within manufacturing operations
• Familiarity with production KPI tracking and reporting
