Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading shift operations, directing hourly associates, and ensuring consistent performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement. This role plays a key part in achieving plant objectives by reinforcing operational standards, developing talent, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Lead shift operations and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with plant goals.
  • Coordinate and verify completion of required safety training, monthly safety initiatives, and incident follow-up actions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by coaching team members on safe work practices and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Communicate customer expectations and ensure production schedules support delivery commitments and quality requirements.
  • Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and partner with operators to implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Drive TPM and continuous improvement efforts, including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly associates through clear performance expectations, feedback, documentation, and training plans.
  • Support cost reduction, productivity improvement, and waste elimination through standard work and resource planning

Production Supervisor Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or military settings.
  • Experience leading teams, making high-impact decisions, and developing talent in a fast-paced environment
  • Employee and labor relations experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, a change-agent mindset, and a safety-first approach.
