Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor establishes and maintains delivery, quality, and rate readiness performance objectives and targets to meet/exceed customer On-Time-Delivery (OTD) and quality expectations and maintain delivery continuity. This role directs performance of skilled manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for allocation of resources, materials and scheduling of equipment for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of primarily hourly employees
  • Direct scheduling and sequencing of work, as well as production innovation to optimize production
  • Analyze team capacity and production data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources
  • Ensures all quality related items are complete and documented utilizing daily Real Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) process
  • Direct cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness
  • Direct scheduling to meet production schedules
  • Set the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity
  • Lead materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operation
  • May manage multiple cells' performance to maximize productivity
  • Direct production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance production capabilities
  • Relate with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services
  • Evaluate and monitor employee performance including coaching and counseling
  • Provide and document appropriate training
  • Ensure team conformance to Business Unit policies and procedure
  • Actively support compliance with EH&S policies and regulatory requirements
  • Promote an ethics based business culture throughout the team
  • Communicate professionally and effectively
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Associates degree including 7 years related manufacturing experience with at least one year in a supervisor capacity. Prefer BA/BS degree including 5 years related manufacturing experience including with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Must be able to provide verification of US Citizenship or permanent residency. Experience in explosive Load, Assemble & Pack operations preferred.
