Production Supervisor

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead production employees in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position is responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees.
- Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper staffing throughout the shift.
- Monitor production schedules, output, efficiency, and product quality.
- Ensure production goals and customer requirements are consistently met.
- Provide hands-on leadership and support to production team members.
- Train new employees on job duties, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company expectations.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and adherence to procedures.
- Identify production delays, equipment problems, and quality concerns and work with appropriate departments to resolve them.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance needs.
- Enforce OSHA requirements, PPE standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals, safety concerns, and operational updates.
- Complete production reports, employee documentation, and other required records.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase productivity and reduce waste and downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
- Communicate effectively with management, quality, maintenance, shipping, and other departments.
Qualifications
- Previous production supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production operations.
- Experience supervising and training production employees.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make timely decisions.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and OSHA standards.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement is required.
- Basic computer skills and experience completing production documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Must be dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable holding employees accountable.
