Job Description

Production Supervisor needed to work at a steel fabrication factory of 100 people. Experience with fabricating machinery, equipment, or materials handling systems would be a suitable fit. Experience working in an operation that involves welding is a plus, but not necessary.

• Work to maintain a safety-first culture
• Improve efficiencies in quality control and on-time shipments
• Oversee production planning and control.
• Lead a team of people in production, supply chain, and facility maintenance
• Implement quality and safety initiatives.
• Help reduce costs through Lean Manufacturing practices

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in production supervision for a company that manufactures parts, equipment, machinery, paper, metals.
• Should have at least five years’ experience.
• Should be familiar with lean manufacturing and six sigma.
• Familiarity with welding is a plus, but not required. Should be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Must have experience overseeing operators, and skilled assembly and fabrication workers.
• Should have good experience in managing production levels.
• Excellent safety record a must.
