** The purpose of the Production Supervisor is to lead, oversee, and optimize the production processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality metal fabrication. This role plays a crucial part in achieving operational excellence by managing and motivating a team of skilled workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining equipment. The Production Supervisor is responsible for meeting production targets, minimizing downtime, and upholding strict quality control standards. Their leadership and problem-solving skills are instrumental in driving productivity, reducing waste, and ensuring a smooth and effective manufacturing operation, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions): Ensure team members are aware of and adhere to safety rules and equipment usage. Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas within the team. Manage team performance to ensure quality standards are met. Coordinate effective training for team members. Collaborate with other teams to ensure efficient plant operation. Continuously improve team performance and measure progress toward team goals. Schedule and coordinate resources, including manpower and machinery. Manage supplies inventory (direct and indirect). Oversee the maintenance of team facilities and equipment. Ensure accurate computer transactions. Develop and maintain staffing and succession plans. Operate within the team budget. Develop and execute a team operational plan. Demonstrate technical expertise in the area of responsibility. Achieve key metrics as defined for each reporting period. Experience & Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field or relevant work experience preferred. Three to Five years of supervisory experience preferred. Exposure to other Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is advantageous. Key Competencies: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, technical procedures, and regulations. Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence. Effective in presenting information and responding to questions from various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, peers, and staff. Basic math skills.
