Nyco Products – Production Supervisor

You notice the details others don’t. Nyco Products is growing and looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who refuses to settle for “good enough”. The individual will join us with the goal of developing and sustaining a high-functioning production team.

At Nyco Products, the Production Supervisor is a valued position. We are seeking a high energy person who will be responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the department. This includes production processes and Quality Assurance while employing LEAN techniques for troubleshooting, process improvement, and increasing productivity. 

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor who spends each day challenging them self and others around them.

Production Supervisor Essential Responsibilities:

• Assign work to staff, provide coaching and training, assist with performance evaluations, plan staff development.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to optimize the allocation of human and equipment resources.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to set and execute short-term and long-term production goals for the department.
• Assist with the development of daily production schedules. Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflow and schedule.
• Ensure that all equipment, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to execute the production plan.
• Ensure safety procedures and OSHA requirements are followed to reduce accidents, incidents, and hazards.
• Ensure production processes and quality standards are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Publish and monitor key performance indicators. Make recommendations to address deficiencies and further capitalize on strengths.
• Other duties as assigned.

 Production Supervisor Qualifications:

• Able to work both independently and with a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
• Green Belt Certification preferred.
• Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively apply MS Excel and other analysis tools to real-world problem-solving.
• Flexible, innovative and comfortable in setting own priorities.
