Nyco Products – Production Supervisor

You notice the details others don’t. Nyco Products looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who refuses to settle for “good enough”. The individual will join us with the goal of developing and sustaining a high-functioning production team.

At Nyco Products, the Production Supervisor is a valued position. We are seeking a high energy person who will be responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the production team. This includes production processes and Quality Assurance while employing LEAN techniques for troubleshooting, process improvement, and increasing productivity. 

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor who spends each day challenging themselves and others around them.

Production Supervisor - Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assigning work to staff, providing coaching and training, assisting with performance evaluations and planning staff development.
• Collaborating with the Production Manager to optimize the allocation of human and equipment resources.
• Collaborating with the Production Manager to set and execute short-term and long-term production goals for the department.
• Assisting with the development of daily production schedules and coordinating and planning production priorities, workflow and schedule.
• Ensuring that all equipment, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to execute the production plan.
• Ensuring that safety procedures and OSHA requirements are followed to reduce accidents, incidents, and hazards.
• Ensuring that production processes and quality standards are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Publishing and monitoring key performance indicators and making recommendations to address deficiencies and further capitalize on strengths.
• Other duties as assigned.

 Production Supervisor  - Qualifications:

• Must be able to work both independently and with a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
• Green Belt Certification is desirable.
• The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Successful candidates should have demonstrated ability to effectively apply MS Excel and other analysis tools to real-world problem-solving.
• Must be flexible, innovative and comfortable in setting own priorities.
