SUMMARY
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Production Supervisor role is responsible for managing the hourly workforce in executing the plant’s expectations for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost within the assigned department(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws within the assigned department(s). Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
