Role Purpose
Lead a manufacturing area and develop high-performing teams to deliver outstanding Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and People performance.
As the operational leader closest to the shop floor, the Group Leader drives daily execution, develops Team Leaders and Operators, solves problems at source and creates a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities (5 pillars)
People Leadership
Lead Team Leaders and Operators. Develop capability, engagement and accountability.
Operational Performance
Deliver production plans, productivity, quality and service targets.
Safety & Quality
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards and promote proactive reporting.
Continuous Improvement
Lead problem solving, waste elimination, standardization and Lean initiatives.
Collaboration
Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and HR to improve plant performance.
Candidate Profile - What We Are Looking For
Experience
Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
Experience managing daily production operations
Exposure to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing
Experience in steel or heavy industry is an advantage
Education
Engineering, technical or manufacturing-related qualification preferred (Bachelor level)
Equivalent operational leadership experience will also be considered
Technical Skills
Manufacturing operations management
Lean Manufacturing (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management)
Problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis)
