Job Overview:

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating and staffing the Production department
  • Team building, Training and development of all machine operators
  • Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all department personnel
  • Manage the threading department in a cost-effective manner by sound buying practices and efficient production planning.
  • Responsible for maintaining the necessary tools, equipment and supplies to fulfill all of XL Systems machining requirements. 
  • Review Production records for accuracy and reporting
  • Assist and recommend in the area of equipment acquisition, upgrading and the refinement of threading processes/procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the machining shop areas
  • Responsible for and the authority to generate non-compliance reports, corrective action and/or preventative actions in accordance with the appropriate operating procedure(s).
  • Responsible for and the authority to maintain and promote a safe working environment in accordance with the appropriate HSE procedure(s). 
  • Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures
  • Ensure compliance of the company’s overall objectives
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years experience in production and/or manufacturing environment
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Oilfield equipment manufacturing fundamentals/knowledge and experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Lean Tools and methodologies preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of CNC or manual machine operation and tooling
  • Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills; customer service driven
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) across all organizational levels
  • Team building
  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be able to do extensive walking, bending, stooping, and moderate to heavy lifting.
