Job Overview:

Production Shift Supervisor

Hours: 2 week schedule (8:00pm – 8:00am Thursday-Sunday, 8:00pm – 8:00am Friday-Sunday)

Position Summary: 

Coordinates, supervises, and directs all aspects of the manufacturing of resins on his/her assigned shift to ensure that production schedules, performance, quality, safety, efficiency, productivity, and housekeeping objectives are achieved.

 

What you’ll do as a Production Shift Supervisor: 

  • Promotes and practices safe work habits; ensures employees perform their duties safely and follow all safety procedures.
  • Promotes quality through actions; conveys to employees the importance of producing quality products.
  • Expedites production; strives for maximum output under any conditions encountered.
  • Keeps communication flowing; information is a key tool in management.
  • Help flag potential problems to insure a constant production flow.
  • Monitors equipment to prevent downtime and report malfunctions.
  • Help solve problems encountered and formulate new procedures when needed.
  • Trains new employees and updates training of tenure employees.
  • Ensures all procedures are followed that involve production, shipping and receiving.
  • Maintain precise documentation and record keeping required.
  • Punctuality and regularity of attendance are job requirements. 

What we’re looking for in a successful Production Shift Supervisor:

  • 3+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Above average written and oral communication skills.
  • Relate well to all levels of personnel.
  • Must have computer skills and knowledge (Excel, Word, email, etc)
  • Have experience working with chemical processing and hazardous materials
  • Training and evaluation of employee performance experience
