What is a Shift Leader?

The Shift Leader is responsible for coordinating and supporting daily operations during an assigned shift, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals. This role provides on-the-floor leadership, assists supervisors, and helps guide operators and team members throughout the shift. The position plays a key role in maintaining workflow, addressing issues in real time, and supporting overall team performance.

What You Can Expect to Do as a Shift Leader:

• Support and coordinate production activities during assigned shifts
• Provide guidance and direction to operators and team members
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and resolving problems
• Communicate shift priorities, updates, and expectations to the team
• Support training and onboarding of new employees
• Maintain accurate shift reports and documentation
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments as needed
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives on the floor

What We Are Looking For in a Shift Leader:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Previous lead or informal leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of production processes and workflows
• Ability to lead and support teams in a hands-on environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities
