Job Title: Production Scheduler/Coordinator
Position Summary
The Production Scheduler/Coordinator schedules workloads and all jobs through various cost centers to meet proposed shipping dates and advises the Sales and Client Services departments of any changes to the original schedule.

- Uses internal scheduling system (EFI Monarch/Printflow) to prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments appropriately throughout the entire production plant based on current workload.
- Provides updates to plant staff regarding current job status and advises other lead staff on manning hours throughout the offset production plant. Responsible for supporting the Director, Operations in activities such as directing workload, responding to employee questions, etc.
- Communicates any changes or unusual circumstances to appropriate staff. Works with various production managers and lead staff to ensure adequate coverage is maintained to meet client deadlines.
- Research new equipment and software for improving quality and processes.
- Assists with maintaining the G7 certification process at Graphcom.
- Prepares and maintains the pre-press, press, post-press, POD and Mailing schedule daily.
- Prepare operations and capacity load reports.
- Responsible for overseeing and leading the production meetings. Participates in other company meetings as needed to discuss new processes, new customers, efficiencies and other special projects/circumstances.
- Communicate stock and material needs to purchasing. Appropriately forecasts changes in inventory levels based on current workload.
- Participate on cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs
- Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
- Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required records, paperwork, documents, procedures etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Requires three to five years of related experience; or an associate’s degree or two years of college and five to ten years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Strongly prefer print/finishing experience of workflow industry standards.
- Knowledge of G7 print standards preferred.
- Previous experience working with scheduling software strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- OSHA 30-hour certification a plus.
- Travel to other locations 10% of the time.
- Graphcom required trainings.
