Performs the daily activities for the Order Processing Operation, including customer order fulfillment, build schedule for manufacturing, prepare shipment paperwork, coordinate and issue build schedules with Production Manager and Team Leads, assist customer service with solving customer issues and performing general administrative functions. Works with sales and product management to develop and manage forecast for long range material planning while considering current inventory, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity. Works with logistics providers, sales and customers on final mile deliveries and special handling requirements.
- Process sales orders through Syspro.
- Review orders for build compliance.
- Review presentation and approval drawings.
- Input order information onto build schedule.
- Process shipping documents for unit orders.
- Handle freight issues, file claims.
- Ensure accurate order entry and processing into Syspro.
- Follow up with accounting and sales department regarding orders that are on hold.
- Ensure visibility of orders on credit hold.
- Produce daily build schedule for manufacturing.
- Maintain and distribute the daily schedule.
- Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials and/or products.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
- Contact carrier to make arrangements for pick up.
- Request freight quotes.
- Work closely with Engineering, Technical Services and Manufacturing in order to continually develop product knowledge.
- Perform invoicing each day.
- Perform general administrative duties as required.
- Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
- Prepare, maintain and distribute build schedules.

- Shipping documentation (BOL, packing slip, labels)
- DHR maintenance.
- Be able to be flexible with overtime.
- Order pallets, crates and packing materials as required.
- Scan orders and DHR's into electronic database.
Requirements
Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing production planning.
- Knowledge of shipping orders (BOL).
- APICS Certification – preferred.
- Experience in analysis of Bills of Materials.
- Familiar with production processes and schedules, logistics, quality control, and raw materials.
- Must be very detail oriented and accurate.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Have excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings on unit orders.
- Knowledge with logistics planning software.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization.
Work Environment
- Climate-controlled office environment, as well as non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment.
Education
Hours and Pay
- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Monday-Friday (hourly position)
- $18.00 - 22.00 (Depending on Experience) - Annual Merit Increases
