Job Description

American Construction Metals (ACM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing Strategic Business Unit of ABC Supply and is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, this position’s primary objective is to analyze, plan and schedule the manufacturing production plan according to customer demand and operations objectives. Additionally, this position requires the associate to be aware of any safety or environmental risks around the ACM-Aberdeen.

Specific duties may include:

• Analyze and Adjust inventory Levels using excel
• Manually adjust inventory levels using JDE and Oracle system
• Provide leads with work orders for the daily runs
• Communicate with other departments to ensure daily plan accomplishment
• Communicate with Maintenance department to ensure plan can be executed
• Coordinate with warehouse and receiving department to ensure that inventory levels stay accurate
• Close work orders on a daily basis
• Ensure raw material is being assigned correctly to work orders
• Correct Bill of Material when necessary
• Generate ECN’s when necessary
• Run MRP report several times a day to ensure plan is being executed
• Help maintain Safety procedures and overall plant safety (this is a responsibility of every employee)
• Communicate effectively with Manufacturing manager on any delays regarding planning accomplishment
• Attend Monthly Safety Meetings

Qualifications include:

• Some schooling required (technical or college preferred)
• Manufacturing experience required
• Outstanding communication skills (honest, open and collaborative)
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required (advanced preferred).
• Production Scheduling/Planning preferred
• JDE and Oracle Fusion/ WMS system knowledge preferred

Work Environment:

• Work Hours: Full time - 1st Shift
• Noise is common in the manufacturing environment; ear protection should be worn 100% of the time when in the manufacturing areas.
• Safety glasses are worn 100% of the time when in the manufacturing areas.
• Machines have pinch points, fast moving parts and protruding parts, which present themselves as a potential injury. All ACM associates must be aware of these dangers.

Pay Rate Information:

$18–21 /hr. Based on experience and qualifications.
