Job Overview:

Description

The role of the Production Scheduler is responsible for the overseeing responsibility for division-level planning operations.  Responsible for planning/scheduling operations and communicating with senior leadership on strategies and plans.  Expected to support current activities along with future company growth.  Must have the ability to communicate and anticipate issues while being pro-active with strategic critical thinking to ensure departments success.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Optimize planning of stock, finished goods, and work-in-process for assigned division.

- Assist in the continuous improvement of related business processes.

- Ensure inventory accuracy throughout the production process.

- Assist in the setup and maintenance of planning rules and modifiers to drive the ERP system.

- Manage and complete daily operations and assignments with scheduling for assigned division.

- Review and complete data entry on job orders to ensure ERP and inventory accuracy.

- Collaborate with manufacturing, customer service, engineering, sales, purchasing, R&D, quality, and shipping.

- Proactively manage capacity planning to meet customer delivery requirements.

- Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

- Associate degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent preferred not required.

- APICS, CPIM, PMP, ASQ, or Lean Six Sigma Certifications preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Planning & Scheduling, Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or other relevant environments.

- 1-2 years Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Resource Planning (MRP) experience, and/or Warehouse Management Software (WMS).

- Excellent computer skills set such as Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel.

- Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent problem solving, issue identification and technical documentation skills.

- Have a customer-first mindset and a strong ability to bring people together from across other departments to accomplish strategic and operational goals.

- Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques.

- Strong project management skills and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Extensive knowledge and proficiency with multiple software and mainframe applications, using Microsoft Office Suite, SQL and statistical analysis; advanced knowledge of distribution, inventory and business systems. 

- Advanced knowledge of planning and inventory concepts around product movement, disposition, business processes, and relevant industry compliance.
