Description
Are you a detail-oriented manufacturing professional who enjoys keeping production moving, solving scheduling challenges, and coordinating across departments? We are looking for a Senior Production Scheduler to support our injection molding operations and help ensure customer orders are produced and shipped on time.
In this role, you will work closely with Production, Shipping, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to plan manufacturing activity, maintain accurate ERP/MRP data, and communicate schedule changes before they become problems. This is a strong opportunity for someone with automotive manufacturing, scheduling, inventory control, or ERP experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters.
· Schedule production runs, sample activity, and mold change activity for manufacturing operations.
· Issue production job tickets according to the production schedule.
· Maintain accurate ERP/MRP information, including BOMs, forecasts, routings, pricing, descriptions, and multi-shot item data.
· Work closely with Shipping and Quality to help ensure product is ready to meet customer shipping schedules.
· Monitor production activity, review production and operating reports, and help resolve scheduling, manufacturing, or maintenance-related delays.
· Communicate schedule changes, exceptions, and logistics updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
· Support continuous improvement efforts with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering Services, and Operations.
· Help ensure labor standards in Bills of Materials are accurate, current, and periodically reviewed.
· Contribute to department goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, dependable, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
· High school diploma or GED required; additional relevant education or equivalent experience preferred.
· 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, production scheduling, inventory control, or ERP/MRP systems preferred.
· Experience with automotive industry practices and standards preferred.
· Understanding of EDI functions and basic transactions preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· High personal integrity and commitment to quality in all work performed.
You will play an important role in keeping production aligned with customer needs. This position works cross-functionally with several key departments and has a direct impact on production efficiency, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
