Job Description

You will be the Production Planning and Control Associate Manager for our Production Planning and Control team. Our team is responsible for driving program production planning, demand and supply planning, and ensuring seamless collaboration with multiple functions to meet business objectives.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Planning and Control Associate Manager, you will be responsible for the program production planning as well as oversight on demand and supply planning roles.
Responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with multiple functions such as Central Buy Planning and Procurement to ensure material for production is available when needed
• Monitoring production schedules from various manufacturing sites/centers and other business areas to maintain the internal operating plan
• Reporting to program senior leadership on the status of the manufacturing builds
• Coordinating with the CDM team to ensure contract delivery obligations are met.
This opportunity is for current and future production and development programs.
Work outside of the normal operating hours may be required.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration on Supply Chain, Operations Management or related discipline.

Strong experience in a Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) based operating system.

Experience leading teams

Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of Management, industry peers, a represented workforce and internal and external customers.

Must have a Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.

Must have a strong working knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)

Strategic thinker with lean manufacturing focus (MFC Greenbelt certified or equivalent)

Desired skills

Master’s Degree/Educational background in Operations Management or related discipline.

Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SAR clearance

APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Black Belt

Experience leading diverse multi-functional teams,

Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) extensive user experience and/or implementation.

Integration of new systems and processes in to an operational organization.

MRP systems utilizing latest technology and processes.

Integration of new systems and processes in to an operational organization.

Prior experience leading a team of supervisor, managers, and/or leads.

Inventory Control and material handling knowledge

Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.

Control Account Manager (CAM) certified.

Demonstrated experience in managing a functional or program staff.

Experience working in development / EMD environments for emerging programs

Experience working proposal efforts

Strong Project Management experience

Proficient in MS Office

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Candidate must possess Full Spectrum Leadership qualities and an ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment is essential.

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $103,700 - $179,860. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
