Job Overview:

CPV Manufacturing is growing and we need your help!  We are looking for a Production Planner / Scheduler for our busy manufacturing facility, located in Kennett Square, PA.  The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and managing production requirements for machine shop, assembly, and inspection schedules to meet customer delivery requirements in the most efficient manner to best utilize the company’s capacity.  We offer a generous benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and a safe, clean, temperature-controlled environment.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes goals and plans production for Manufacturing, Assembly and Test, Marking and Cleaning areas to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Analyzes sales order volume to support capacity and material requirement planning
  • Collaborates with the machine shop manager to ensure schedules fulfill part availability requirements
  • Works with the production and shipping supervisor to resolve any finished assembly scheduling issues
  • Coordinates with inspection department to manage flow of required work through the department
  • Maintains and updates shortage and backlog reports and other related reports as required
  • Follows up as required with all other team members, including management, to coordinate flow of materials and paperwork with the production schedules as needed
  • Interacts with manufacturing personnel and management on a daily basis to maintain manufacturing efficiencies and provides planning updates to manufacturing, customer service or accounting as needed

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum experience: 4-5 years in a manufacturing planner scheduler role
  • Technical experience with ERP systems and Microsoft office products; Advanced Excel User
  • Problem solving- Identifies and resolves problems efficiently; Gathers and analyzes information; Develops solutions; Uses logic and reason
  • Technical Capacity – Is proficient in the technical manufacturing, planning and systems related skills
  • Cost Consciousness – Works within an approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures; Conserves company resources
  • Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively; Listens and gets clarification when necessary; Responds informatively to questions
  • Written Communication – Writes clearly and concisely; Edits work; Varies writing styles to meet specific needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information
  • Planning/ Organizing – Prioritizes and plans work; Uses time efficiently; Plans for resources; Sets goals and objectives

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work environment is primarily in the office at a machine shop / manufacturing site
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to wear PPE
