Job Overview:

The Production Planner is responsible for the creation of the shop floor plan and collaborating with the plant operations team to ensure manufacturing orders are opened and executed on time.  They are required to maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part) parameters to ensure an optimized plan that balances Customer Service and Inventory goals.  They work cross-functionally to prioritize work orders and troubleshoot issues to help drive business results.

As a Production Planner, You Will:

  • Creates and communicates the daily/weekly production plan.
  • Reviews work orders and collaborates with Business Unit Managers and plant supervisors to ensure proper plant prioritization.
  • Reviews unreleased work orders to determine root cause(s).
  • Reviews and updates PFEP planning parameters based on historical data, standard work and business needs.
  • Monitors component supermarkets and prioritizes production.
  • Reviews blocking parts and drives actions to mitigate.
  • Partners with the Inventory Control Team to maintain accurate system inventories and supports Physical Inventory.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning or Materials Planning experience
  • Applied experience planning using ERP systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP).  
  • Functional experience with Excel required.  
  • Occasionally lift and maneuver 30lbs.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • JDE planning experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, etc.) strongly desired.
  • Production Planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
