Job Overview:

Production Personnel

We are searching for an experienced Production Personnel at our Redmond, OR facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

  • Sets up and operates a variety of machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and assemble doors by performing the following duties.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.

  • Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer, molder, to cut and shape parts rims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit.

  • Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels.

  • Glues, fits, and clamps parts and sub-assemblies together to form a complete unit.

  • Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints.

  • Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing.

  • Installs hardware such as hinges.

  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.

  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.

  • Track production on schedule boards.

  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.

  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production for which they have been trained.

  • Must be able to lift and carry 20-100+lbs on a regular basis throughout the workday.

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

  • Understand how errors in production, paperwork, etc. can impact the bottom line.

  • Work closely with other production personnel promoting a “can-do” attitude.

  • Understand the product nomenclature.

  • Work overtime as required when necessary.

  • Be a team player; maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all other employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.

  • Know/learn all products and nomenclature.

  • Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.

  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed.

  • May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.

  • May be required to lift and move larger heavier items appropriately, reach above shoulder heights, below the waist, bend stretch as needed to work on the machinery.

  • Will require use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, and hearing protection.

  • Environmental conditions may alter to excessive heat and possible colder temperatures during season changes in the manufacturing area.
