Production Operator – Paint Processor, Louisville, KY
Starting pay: $24.67
Shift: 2nd shift - 10 AM-8:45 PM, Monday thru Thursday, with possible OT on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator – Paint Processor to support production processes including dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments. This role is responsible for safely producing batches according to specifications, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring product quality standards are met. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices
Operate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructions
Accurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amounts
Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and stage materials
Monitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are being met
Perform quality checks and make adjustments to color, viscosity, or strength as directed
Transfer materials between tanks or vessels using pumps and transfer hoses
Record batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustments
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Basic computer skills and ability to learn production and inventory systems
Ability to follow detailed instructions and accurately document work
Ability to distinguish between colors and shades
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Team‑oriented attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality
Ability to complete required safety and job‑specific training
Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under, and around production equipment
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting hoses, manipulating valves, operating and adjusting equipment, stacking pallets, and carrying materials
Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 80 lbs. occasionally
