Job Title: Production Operator 1- SMT Feeder Set Up (Day Shift)

Location: Newark, CA

Department: Production

Reports To: Production Supervisor

 Job Overview:
 Production Operator 1- Feeder Set Up sets up is responsible for preparing, loading, and maintaining SMT feeders to support SMT assembly operations.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and load components into SMT feeders according to production schedules and work orders.
  • Inspect and verify correct component part numbers, values, and orientation before feeding.
  • Monitor inventory of components and feeders, reporting shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support machine operators by staging feeders and components for upcoming jobs.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Document activities and update feeder logs as required.
  • Feeder tear down

 Execute written/verbal instructions given by supervisor and monitor efficiency and quality of assigned routine tasks:

  • Read and follow work instructions and visual aids
  • Check and inspect task results against predetermined standards
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate production issues and problems

Key Tools and Technology:

  • ESD equipment
  • Production documents: work instructions, product specifications, bill of material (BOM) and other documents
  • MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • ADP Workforce Now (Employee Self-Service Portal)

Requirements:

  • High school diploma is desired
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT environment
  • Basic understanding of SMT components, feeders, and placement machines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Salary Range: $19- $25 per hour
