Job Description

SpringSeal, Inc is currently looking for a back shift production supervisor. This person will maintain and improve our production process by doing the following:

• Ensure that employees on the shift are properly trained.

• Ensure that the specifications for the manufacturing of products are being strictly followed .

• Prepares employees for the daily production schedule.

• Provides analysis of the daily production of the shift.

• Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the production areas.

• When applicable- provides troubleshooting of production problems.

• Partners with Engineering and Quality Control personnel to improve quality and resolve problems.

• Ensures that all raw materials are indentified and correctly weighed.

• Ensures that the manufacturing process is correctly followed from raw materials used to the finished product to meeth the standards set forth in the job order.

• Ensures all safety rules are followed.

• Provides proper documentation of daily production reports and associated forms.

• Sets the standard of leadership for all employees ranging from quality work to ethics and integrity.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a strong understanding of Plastics manufacturing- specifically plastic profile extrusion. Experience with thermoforming and injection molding is a plus.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must have good problem solving and decision making skills and have a high level of personal integrity.
• Must have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethicand be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to read calipers, micrometers, durometers, tape measures.
• Must be proficient with MS Suite- specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The majority of the work is done in a busy plant environment. The production supervisor must have the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50lbs. Additionally, this person must be agile and be able to maneuver around potential obstacles which may be present. This person must be able to climb ladders and stairs on an as needed basis.
