Oversee plant operations, direct production personnel and ensure that plant operations, quality control and all production meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the Production Manager. Determine when process parameters need to be altered to increase reliability, throughput or decrease/increase labor. Train and motivate all departmental employees to work safely and productively. Ensure proper material handling consistent with quality objectives and troubleshoot process systems to correct when quality targets are not met. Oversee Yard Department Supervisor and assist when needed. On call 24 hours a day to assist production personnel as needed. Work with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production goals. Assist Production Manager in formulating short range as well as long range plans. Conduct early morning debrief of off going Shift Supervisor. Discuss significant events of shift. Conduct daily morning production planning meeting. Attend multiple maintenance planning meetings. Responsible for generating and maintaining all departmental environmental documentation as well as work area and overhead crane inspections. Collect, organize and turn in to Environmental Manager monthly. Assist Production Manager in developing and implementing refractory plans for kilns. Interact with refractory vendors and purchase material as needed according to plans. Maintain and record inventory in refractory warehouse. Optimize production of raw and finish mills through process audits of mills. Develop and conduct training programs as needed or as directed by the Production Manager. Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Salary offered for the position is: $136,500.00 - $160,000.00/year.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Cement production, including control of raw materials, clinker production, and grinding processes; Raw Material Management of limestone, clay, and gypsum; operating and maintaining cement kilns; Energy Efficiency as it relates to cement production and regulatory compliance for emissions regulations governing cement production; Quality Control and Standardization for cement production; and Commissioning and Maintenance of Heavy Machinery such as crushers, mills, and cement kilns.
