Position Overview

As the Production Manager, you will lead the daily operations of our production facility, ensuring every garment leaving our plant meets CITY's standards for quality, efficiency, and cleanliness.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. You'll lead a team of supervisors and production associates, oversee workflow across the plant, partner closely with the Service Department, and drive a culture focused on safety, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

Success in this role means building a highly engaged team, maintaining efficient production processes, solving operational challenges quickly, and continuously improving quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production team members through regular feedback, performance management, and training.
• Maintain an active presence on the production floor, providing direction, removing obstacles, and supporting daily operations.
• Develop production schedules that meet customer demand while maximizing labor, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Partner closely with the Service Department to resolve production-related issues and ensure outstanding customer service.
• Monitor production performance, quality, labor, and efficiency using key operational metrics and reporting tools.
• Maintain CITY's hygienically clean standards through consistent quality inspections and process controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and implement operational best practices.
• Promote and enforce a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable safety regulations.
• Oversee washroom operations to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Monitor inventory levels of production supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing production employees.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Champion CITY's Mission, Vision, and Values throughout the operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience supervising production, manufacturing, warehouse, industrial laundry, or similar operational teams.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop frontline employees.
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing production schedules, labor planning, and operational performance metrics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong sense of urgency.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when business needs require.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities throughout the production floor.

Working Conditions

This position is based in a commercial laundry production facility and is primarily a field leadership role, requiring frequent movement throughout the plant.

The environment includes exposure to industrial laundry equipment, varying temperatures, noise, humidity, and laundering chemicals. The role requires standing, walking, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or moving materials while supervising operations and supporting production employees.
