As Production Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end assembly and production of highly engineered industrial equipment, ensuring products are built safely, efficiently, and delivered on schedule. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and takes pride in driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production and assembly operations from incoming materials through final product shipment
  • Manage and develop a team of assembly technicians, material handlers, and maintenance personnel
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), production schedules, and labor utilization
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage production planning, material flow, and operational execution
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and other departments to proactively resolve issues and maintain delivery commitments
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and employee engagement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience overseeing assembly or production operations from raw materials through final product build and shipment (3-4 years considered for strong candidates)
  • Experience leading hourly manufacturing employees in a hands-on environment
  • Proven success driving continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational performance initiatives
  • Strong ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
  • Ability to identify risks early, solve problems proactively, and communicate effectively across departments
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
