Production Manager
Location: Beaver Dam, WI

A well‑established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to step into a key leadership role as their current manager transitions out. This position is primarily 1st shift, with occasional crossover to 2nd shift as needed, and offers strong compensation, stability, and long‑term impact.
This role requires a results‑driven manufacturing leader with deep experience in operations management, KPI ownership, and continuous improvement.
Pay:$80,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 6:30am–4:00pm (approximately 45 hours/week)
Primarily 1st shift, with some crossover as needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily leadership and oversight of manufacturing operations, ensuring all KPI targets are met, including full P&L accountability
- Track, analyze, and report actual performance vs. KPIs, initiating urgent corrective actions to address gaps
- Develop and execute operational plans aligned with Safety, Quality, Cost, and Time (SQCT) objectives
- Manage direct labor optimization, both at a strategic level and in day‑to‑day operations
- Serve as a decisive leader and change agent, confidently addressing operational challenges and driving solutions
- Analyze manufacturing data related to safety, productivity, labor utilization, overtime, scrap, inventory levels, fulfillment rate, and on‑time delivery, implementing proactive countermeasures to prevent negative business impact
- Take a hands‑on role in planning, executing, and sustaining Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Champion manufacturing efforts focused on continuous improvement and cost reduction, promoting best‑in‑class practices in quality, cost, and delivery
- Lead the development of supervisory staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and team‑building support across all SQCT areas
- Promote and facilitate clear daily communication between Manufacturing and all other departments
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal machining, with P&L responsibility
- 3–5 years of experience directly managing and improving manufacturing operations, including direct labor
- Proven results‑driven leader with urgency, passion, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Fast learner with a strong desire to understand all aspects of the business to support organizational growth
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated honesty and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge and hands‑on success using Continuous Improvement tools, specifically Lean Manufacturing
- Understanding of MRP systems preferred
