Job Description

Maintenance Technician – $25 to $35/hr

Location: Brighton & Howell, MI

Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Overtime as needed; Saturdays or extended hours until 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM)

Express Employment is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join well-established manufacturers in Brighton and Howell, MI!

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.

• Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime.

• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Replace or repair machine components, such as motors, belts, gears, and sensors.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical schematics, and blueprints.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery & facility maintenance and light carpentry tasks when needed.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

• Collaborate with the tooling and production teams to maximize equipment efficiency.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience required.

• Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs (willing to train on PLC programming).

• Solid understanding of electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase.

• Experience with CNC benders, end-form presses, and wire-forming machinery is a plus.

• Proficiency with basic and specialized hand tools.

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Welding and fabrication skills a plus.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the day.

• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
