Base Pay Rate: $35.34 per hour, with an additional $6.36 per hour for the PM shift assignments, paid weekly

This role supports the operation and maintenance department by maintaining and servicing processing equipment. Responsibilities include fabrication, part replacement, rebuilds, modifications, troubleshooting, and identifying parts needed for repairs. The individual will work both independently and as part of a team.

Email and Verbal Communication for shift turnovers.
Work Order tracking and completion
General:
Plan, perform and/or oversee preventive maintenance, safety tag corrections, and failure tag correction on mechanical equipment as required.
Plan and perform routine system evaluations of mechanical equipment, identifying performance trends or issues and recommending courses of action.
Resolve equipment malfunctions by evaluating machine performance, breakdowns, identifying root causes, and taking corrective actions.
Participate in project teams comprised of Engineering, R&D personnel, contractors, and vendors to introduce new processes and/or equipment.
Design and Fabricate changes to equipment to enhance machine performance.
Ensure that all required safety and GMP practices are being always followed while completing the work.
Assist with installation of control, information, and inspection systems.
Read and understand technical related documents such as schematics, one-line diagrams, plan/elevation drawings, P&ID, process flow diagrams, instrument installation and configuration details.
Train others on theory of operation on equipment and standard process & procedures.
Support & sustain factory Process Safety Management Systems
Support the development and continuous improvement of computer-based maintenance management system/work order system.
Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment/operational reliability.
Diagnose issues, take corrective action, and recommend improvements to achieve optimal line efficiency.
All other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
This position is a developmental position for current or previously qualified mechanics.
We are looking for mechanics to develop their skills in multi-craft trade capability.
Candidates that are willing to undergo company supplied training to become multi-craft maintenance, electrician and low-level automation technician.
Already qualified internal applicants will be transferred to this program at their current wage rate based on the shift/shift differential rules.
High degree of mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
The candidate should possess the ability to manage and execute continuous improvement programs, encompassing responsibilities such as implementing 5S methodology, computer based maintenance management work order system, developing and maintaining work instructions, conducting breakdown analysis, ensuring compliance with lubrication standards, maintaining departmental charts, coordinating training initiatives, and performing audits, among other related duties.
Ability to operate common shop equipment (Mill, lathe, Band saw) etc. is preferred
