The starting pay for this position is $21.03 an hour with an additional $2 an hour shift differential for nights. We currently offer a $600 signing bonus for 6 months of successful performance and attendance.
Essential Duties / Job Responsibilities:
Ability to troubleshoot & remedy problems with manufacturing equipment.
Maintains and repairs production equipment.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance to equipment to assure an efficient and long-term trouble-free operation.
Performs periodic inspections and overhauls according to the maintenance schedule.
Maintains accurate records.
Independently troubleshoots production machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Repairs machines and equipment using approved procedures and standards while maintaining safety practices.
Communicates with mechanics on other shifts, with verbal and written communications in order to receive and relay specific machine conditions or other information related to the department.
Follows Lockout /Tag out procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing environment in the areas of machine maintenance and repair and equipment installation that includes pneumatics, electrical, servo and encoder motors.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team and independently to achieve team objectives.
Must be able to read and understand schematics.
Must be knowledgeable in basic testing devices (multi-meters, O-Scopes)
Must have working knowledge of metric system.
Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical maintenance in a work or school environment
Omron and Keyence PLC knowledge a plus
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work all shifts.
Must be able to pass mechanical skills test in order to be considered.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to auto-focus.
