Job Overview:

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, modifying, setting up, adjusting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This position works closely with Production, Engineering, and other support departments to maximize equipment uptime, improve reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

 

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated production equipment.
  2. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maintain equipment reliability. 
  3. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. 
  4. Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective countermeasures to reduce downtime. 
  5. Set up, test, adjust, and verify equipment operation in accordance with company safety standards. 
  6. Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and performance concerns. 
  7. Communicate maintenance issues, repair status, corrective actions, and recommendations to leadership and team members. 
  8. Assist with installation, modification, and improvement of manufacturing equipment and processes. 
  9. Participate in root cause analysis, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  10. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation. 
  11. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and company policies. 
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles. 
  13. Support off-shift, weekend, or emergency maintenance activities as needed. 
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications listed.
Education
  • High school diploma or completion of high school equivalence exam required
  • Completion of formal apprenticeship training program to the satisfaction of DENSO management, or 2 years of industrial maintenance education, 
Work Experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent military maintenance experience is required;
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 
  1. Ability to troubleshoot 480-volt 3 phase electrical systems, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and robotic systems.
  2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. 
  3. Programmable Logic Control (PLC) troubleshooting experience 

     

  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  5. Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  6. Basic computer skills and ability to document maintenance activities.
  7. Sufficient analysis and planning skills to understand maintenance instructions, troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic operating systems and to plan work based on such information and analysis results
  8. Willingness to wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures
