2nd Shift Line Operator

📍 Conover, NC

💰 Starting Pay: $17.50/hour

📈 Pay Increase Opportunity: Up to $20.30/hour within 90 days

🕓 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

📅 Some Saturdays may be required

**What You'll Do

**

We are looking for a dependable 2nd Shift Line Operator to join our manufacturing team in Conover! This position works on a production line packaging rolled material, building boxes, palletizing finished product, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

This is a rotating production position, so you'll have the opportunity to learn multiple areas of the manufacturing process, including operating a bagger and forklift.

**Responsibilities

**

• Package rolled material into boxes and palletize finished product
• Build boxes and prepare product for shipment
• Inspect products and packaging for defects or imperfections
• Remove and reprocess defective bags and bales
• Operate a bagger that produces 60-lb. bales of Hydro Mulch
• Operate a forklift to move and store materials (training provided)
• Maintain production goals and operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform light preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized production area
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to follow safety and production procedures
• Willingness to learn multiple production functions
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (training provided)
• Manufacturing or production experience is helpful, but training is available

**Physical Requirements

**

This position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and use of hands for handling materials and equipment.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work around moderate to heavy manufacturing noise
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions depending on weather
• May require overtime and occasional Saturdays
