Position Summary
The Production Lead Associate 1 position is responsible for supervising shop associates in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Responsibilities

- Ensure effective associate relations. Provide associate coaching and development. Resolves associate issues through problem resolution.
- Ensure Safety Policies are followed
- Maintain proper inventory levels
- Manage department priorities- update schedules and communication boards.
- Be an example to all associates at Nucraft
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position Leads associates of the department and is responsible for the safety, project output and appearance of the Dept.
Qualifications:
- Production and Processing- knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Mechanical- knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, and training.
- First time lead person
Education:
- 3-5 years of experience in a production environment
Language Skills:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English efficient and effectively.
- Speak clearly and convey information to others effectively
- Active listening
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Expected hours of work
- This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as jobs duties demand.

The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vison, distance vison, color vison, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
