We are seeking experienced and motivated Production Supervisors to oversee manufacturing operations across our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in Fall River, MA. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading production employees, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, meeting production goals, and ensuring products are manufactured according to quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Supervise, train, and motivate production employees on assigned shifts.
Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production targets.
Monitor production schedules and ensure customer orders are completed on time.
Assign employees to workstations and adjust staffing as production needs change.
Monitor employee attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.
Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production floor.
Monitor product quality and work with Quality Control to address issues.
Identify production problems, downtime, and process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with Maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Complete production reports, shift reports, and other required documentation.
Conduct shift-start meetings and communicate production priorities to employees.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and tools.
Assist with employee training, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Investigate production issues and recommend improvements.
Communicate effectively with other supervisors and management during shift changes.
Maintain accurate inventory and material usage records when required.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the production department.
2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Previous experience leading a production team.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production procedures.
Ability to read and understand production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills and ability to complete production documentation.
Ability to work independently and make decisions while maintaining production standards.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; additional manufacturing or technical education is a plus.
1st Shift: Daytime schedule
2nd Shift: Afternoon/Evening schedule
3rd Shift: Overnight schedule
Candidates should be willing to work the assigned shift and provide flexibility for occasional overtime, weekends, or schedule changes based on production requirements.
