Position Summary

Overton Industries is seeking** **a reliable and detail‑oriented team member to perform a variety of hands‑on production tasks, including feeding machines, sorting materials, inspecting parts, and packaging light products. This role also supports daily shop operations by completing routine equipment maintenance such as oiling machinery and monitoring coolant and way‑lube levels to ensure optimal machine performance.

**Key Responsibilities **

  • Execute basic production operations such as feeding and loading machines, following detailed process instructions provided by Tool Makers or the Operations Manager.

  • Performs material handling tasks including sorting, inspecting, and packaging lightweight components according to specification.

  • Verifies part counts and ensures accurate quantities are packed per carton or container requirements.

  • Confirms all packaging is properly labeled, matching part numbers, quantities, and material identification standards.

  • Maintains a clean, organized, and compliant workstation in accordance with shop safety and 5S practices.

  • Monitors and replenishes machine fluids—including oil, coolant, and way‑lube—to maintain proper operating conditions and prevent equipment downtime.

  • Provides support to production and tooling personnel by assisting with assigned tasks, secondary operations, or general shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an industrial environment

  • Skills

    • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes

    • Basic measurement skills (using rulers, scales, or simple gauges)

    • Willingness to assist team members with additional tasks
