This opportunity as a** Production Group Lead **focuses on supervising daily production activities, coordinating workflow, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and improving operational performance across machining operations. This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys developing teams, optimizing production processes, and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily production activities within machining and manufacturing departments
• Train, schedule, direct, and support production employees to achieve operational goals
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and perform routine safety inspections
• Coordinate production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, management, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues
• Monitor machining operations and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Perform quality inspections, audits, and ensure compliance with ISO standards
• Maintain accurate production records and enter manufacturing data into SAP
• Manage inventory, work-in-process, and cycle count activities
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives
• Track departmental metrics and support continuous improvement efforts
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience required
• 3+ years of leadership experience within a machining or manufacturing environment required
• Previous experience leading production teams and coordinating daily manufacturing operations required
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain required
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office required; SAP experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to read and communicate written and verbal instructions effectively
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment on second shift (Monday–Friday)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience within precision machining, metalworking, tooling, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and 5S initiatives preferred
• Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience supporting inventory control, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred
