The following are tasks to be performed by the Production Finisher. The duties are not limited to this list. Any additional requirements, changes, or deletions will be at the discretion of the Supervisor (Paint & Assembly). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility and duty satisfactorily.
SUMMARY: The Production Finisher is responsible for setting up and executing various assembly tasks, including insert installation, fastening, bonding, spot welding, part marking, masking, sanding, pad printing and measuring; adhering to Altek's stringent Quality Standards; following established Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), as well as any new guidelines introduced by the company; promoting teamwork through behavior; acting in accordance with Altek's policies; and meeting the goals and expectations defined by management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews and follows SWIs, signing off on instructions and ensuring adherence to the specifications for each part
- Adjusts electric torque screwdrivers to the correct torque settings per the job’s SWIs and accurately records measurements in the log on a daily basis as required
- Performs a variety of assembly tasks, including insert installation, fastening, bonding, spot welding, part marking, masking, sanding, and measuring, to prepare products for shipment
- Prepares and packages finished goods for customer shipment, ensuring data is accurately recorded in the system
- Takes pride in ownership of assigned responsibilities, consistently ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks
- Trains and supports new employees on company processes and procedures as necessary, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Recommends improvements to existing processes to enhance productivity and product quality
- Pays meticulous attention to detail when completing work documentation and performing tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years’ manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to use light power tools correctly and safely (Electric Torque Screwdriver)
- Ability to perform highly repetitive tasks while ensuring safety, cost effectiveness and quality
- Ability to stand for a full shift
- Basic computer, reading, verbal, math and written skills
- Ability to pass visual acuity and color recognition test
- Ability to read and apply the Standard Work Instructions (SWIs)
- Ability to communicate and behave effectively with others in a team environment
- Maintain a high level of quality output
- Self-motivated
- Ability to provide team support and assistance to co-workers as needed
